35 weeks/35 days left

How Far Along: 35 weeks

Size of baby: Around 18 inches and 5-6 pounds.  I can't wait to see how big he really is :)
Total Weight Gain: 24 lbs

Maternity Clothes: Same ole Same

Gender: Still a boy - B Jr.

Movement: He still seems to be on a normal schedule.  I have figured out how he's positioned too because I really only get movement on one side of my body (my left) with the occasional roll across my stomach.  He also has found that punching/headbutting Mom in the bladder is "fun" and by fun I mean UGH IT HURTS AND I HAVE TO PEE!

Sleep: It varies. I didn't really sleep a couple of nights ago. I have trouble getting to sleep, but when I do I get decent sleep.  I think that every time I come out of a REM cycle I have to get up and pee.  Such is life.

What I miss:  All that I've really missed the last couple of weeks is being able to fall asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow, and exercising.  I mean like REALLY exercising. Like running and lifting weights and doing things to actually get my heartrate way up and break a good sweat and do things to get skinny!

Cravings: Extra cold water.  I used to not really like ice in my water and now I have to have it or else the water feels icky to me.
Aversions: Mashed Potatoes (if they aren't super flavored), Chicken Wings and mint toothpaste.

Symptoms: A bit of insomnia, restless legs (I have to stretch before bed), sore ribs, unquenchable thirst and Braxton Hicks contractions.  OH and a seemingly never empty bladder lol.
Best Moment of the Week: My cousin flew in from CO to surprise me for a baby shower on Saturday.  I hadn't seen her in 3 years. It totally made my week :)

What I'm Looking Forward To: At this point I am just looking forward to watching the days tick down and for my little man to get out of my belly and into my arms.  Oh and I am excited to completing our registry and finishing getting everything set up and organized.

How Far Along: 33 weeks and 1 day

Size of baby: Around 17-18 inches and 4.5-6 pounds.  He was in the 72st percentile a few weeks ago so he's probably at the bigger end of those numbers

Total Weight Gain: 23 lbs (hadn't gained anymore weight since last week)

Maternity Clothes: Same ole Same

Gender: Still a boy - B Jr.

Movement: He appears to have developed a schedule similar to mine - awake during the day and asleep during the night.  Now, if he can only keep that once he comes out, that would be great :)

Sleep: I'm now finding ways to get comfortable (which include falling asleep almost upright and then ending up flat on my side by one of my bathroom breaks).  However, I still never feel rested and about an hour after lunch I just want a nap and then don't really perk up again.

What I miss:  Sleeping on my back, beer (it's just so good when it hits your lips), pizza (makes me so uncomfortable I can't even eat one bite), feeling like myself, having a sex drive (because it left about 7 months ago and has yet to return - my poor poor husband) - sounds about right except add to it having energy for an entire day.

Cravings: Extra cold water.  I used to not really like ice in my water and now I have to have it or else the water feels icky to me.
Aversions: Mashed Potatoes (if they aren't super flavored), Chicken Wings and mint toothpaste.

Symptoms: I start getting tired around 8:30pm, a bit of insomnia, some congestion, I think my belly gets bigger every single day, I get hot and tired very easily, lots of movement, starting to feel heavier in my abdomen, a bit of nesting and my short fuse.
Best Moment of the Week: Some of the quiet time that Hubs and I have spent together this week (so far).

What I'm Looking Forward To:  My birthday is Sunday!  I'm also looking forward to the end of this (and will continue to do so) because while I love what is happening inside of me (and will likely do this at least one more time, if not 2 more times), I'm not a huge fan of what is happening on the outside.  Also, I am just ready to meet my little man, but I know he needs more time.  *SIGH*

31 Weeks and Growing

I couldn't manage to get a decent picture today so I am going to give you all a couple mediocre photos and take note that I really need to do a better job at filling in my eyebrows since they have apparently bleached out a bit already this summer.
The bathroom at work seriously has the WORST lighting EVER

How Far Along: 31 weeks and 1 day

Size of baby: All the sites say he's about 16 inches, but he probably weighs more than my updates say since they already estimated him at 4 lbs last week.

Total Weight Gain: Probably about 21 or 22 at this point - depends on when I weigh myself and what I ate the day before (on heavy sodium days I retain water like it's my job for the next day or 2).

Maternity Clothes: Can't complain about stretchy clothes and they're pretty much all I wear - except for cardigans.

Gender: Still a boy - B Jr.

Movement: He's my little wiggler/soccer star/mixed martial artist.   Yesterday he decided it would be fun to punch and headbutt Mama in the cervix all day. Guess who did NOT think that was fun?  It is kind of cool knowing that I can now distinguish between how his hands feel when they punch me and how his feet feel when they kick me.  Last night Hubs got his first high-five from the little guy (aka his hands were on my stomach and little man punched my stomach).

Sleep: Sleep is sleep.  I just have to get it when I can and as much as I can.  I have accepted that I get up every couple hours to hit the restroom.  I suppose it's just training for the months after little man gets here. I also can't go back to sleep once Hubs' alarm goes off/he gets in the shower.  Now, I don't get out of bed, but I just lay there thinking about my day and, some mornings, feel my little man move around.

What I miss:  Sleeping on my back.  I'm still comfortable like that, but sometimes I do feel a little light headed (guess it's that whole circulation thing) so I try not to do it.  That and if I do and Hubs sees me, all I hear is "WIFE! Get off your back.  THE BABY!"  He sure loves his son already ;)

Cravings: I like food.  Sometimes I feel like Phoebe from Friends when she was pregnant because I've eaten/wanted to eat more red meat in the last 31 weeks than I have in probably the last 3 years (on average).

Aversions: Mashed Potatoes (if they aren't super flavored), Chicken Wings and mint toothpaste.

Symptoms: I start getting tired around 8:30pm, I think my belly gets bigger every single day, a bit of nesting and my short fuse.
Best Moment of the Week: Making a plan to get things done with the nursery, ordering new coffee and end tables for the living room (our anniversary gift for each other) and knowing that I have a nice long weekend ahead of me.

What I'm Looking Forward To:  Ordering my recliner this weekend and organizing what we currently have in the nursery and maybe cleaning out a few other areas of the house.

I think I am going to put together a Favorite and Least Favorite parts of being pregnant.  I have had an incredibly easy and blessed pregnancy, but that doesn't mean that there aren't things that I haven't been such a fan - although I acknowledge that it will all be worth it once my little man is here :)

Yet again, life experiences that Friends failed to prepare me for . . .

How real pregnancy can be.  I was on the elliptical, in a house that is probably 70-75 degrees, but feels like it's about 1000000 and I was watching Friends.  It's the episode where Rachel is a week past her due date.  There I was, pedaling away when I wanted to throw a weight at the TV because Rachel started complaining about it being 100 degrees outside and she's uncomfortable.  F-You Rachel Green!  It has been 100+ degrees in Tulsa for over two weeks right now and there is NO. END. IN. SIGHT. It probably won't cool down a bit until the little man gets here.  I have 8 weeks left and I am so hot and tired and know that I am just going to get hotter and more tired.  And so I sit here on the couch with my feet propped up on the floor by Hubs' old calculus book (this is progress from sitting on the floor in front of the air vent because I was so damn hot).  It works.

You have failed me Friends.

Baby Shower #2

Last weekend we had baby shower #2 with my college and law school friend.  Three of my law school friends hosted the shower in little B's honor.  It was nice to see friends I don't get to see often and to celebrate the impending arrival of B Jr.  The food was good, the company was good and I got lots of adorable things for our little guy.  Without further ado, I will let the pictures do the talking.
Our hostess, Lisa, rubbing my belly (she makes me feel ridiculously pale and chubby - yes I know that I'm pregnant and not just fat).

Another hostess, Lauren, who came up from Texas for the day :)

Lisa and Kara, the third hostess, finishing up the food (aren't my green oven doors AWESOME?  I really need to do something about them).

The spread

Measuring my belly :)

You can't see but the little bag I'm holding on the left side of the picture has sunglasses, socks and a baby sweatband in it.  <3

My wonderful friend, Jen, made this blanket for our little guy :)

Lisa, Lauren, Meredith and Kara - four of my lovely law school friends

Former TU cheerleaders

We all had a really nice time.  Two showers down. Two more to go (not including the one that work is throwing me which I'm pretty sure I'm not supposed to think is an actual shower).  Our little man is so loved already :)

30 Weeks

How Far Along: 30 weeks and 3 days

Size of baby: Well we had an ultrasound today since my belly was measuring small at the doctor yesterday and they think that the little guy is about 4 pounds.  All the sites say he's about 16 inches.  He's measuring about a week to a week and a half ahead of schedule on all measurements except his leg (they only measured one) - that's right on time lol.  Looks like he might have Mom's short legs.  It was funny that they thought I was measuring small and then we get in and my little man is measuring bigger than expected.

Total Weight Gain: Around 20.  I have 10 weeks to go so hopefully I won't double my weight gain in those weeks.

Maternity Clothes: LOVE LOVE LOVE.  I like when my belly is covered and I love stretchy waistbands lol.  However, I am eager to get back in normal clothes after little guy gets here.

Gender: Still a boy - we got definite confirmation today!

Movement: Today he was head down so hopefully he stays that way.  However, that means that he likes to kick near my ribs

Sleep: Sleep is sleep.  I just have to get it when I can and as much as I can.  I have accepted that I get up every couple hours to hit the restroom.  I suppose it's just training for the months after little man gets here.

What I miss:  Sleeping on my back and being able to sleep through the night, but that's about it.

Cravings: I just like food.

Aversions: Mashed Potatoes (if they aren't super flavored), Chicken Wings and mint toothpaste.

Symptoms: My energy level has been going down, but that's to be expected.  Also I have an extremely short fuse and once it goes off there is no way of getting it back.  Oh and once I get hot, that's it, I am not going to cool down for quite a while.
Best Moment of the Week: Getting the sweetest anniversary card from B (we're going out for our anniversary tomorrow so I'll blog about that when we've had our date) and getting to see our little guy today :)

What I'm Looking Forward To:  My shower tomorrow and celebrating my anniversary with Hubs :)

29 Weeks

How Far Along: 29 weeks and 5 days

Size of baby: Little Man is about 16 inches long and about 3 pounds.   I can't believe we have a little over 10 weeks left for this kiddo to gain 3-4 more pound and grow 3-4 more inches!

Total Weight Gain: I'll say probably around 18 lbs or so.  I have an appointment on Thursday so I'll know then.

Maternity Clothes: Maternity pants in everything except athletic shorts and yoga pants.  I can still wear a lot of my pre-pregnancy dresses so that's nice (gotta love wrap dresses and empire waistlines). Pretty much all maternity shirts except for casual tshirts and some stretchy tanks. I had to buy new bras a couple weeks ago, but nothing compares to sports bras these days.  They are fabulous!

Gender: Little baby boy, Bryan :)

Movement: He is still a little wiggler.   I think he had the hiccups this morning.  I'm pretty sure he was transverse this morning and it felt like he was pinballing around in my belly this morning.

Sleep: Sleep has gotten harder in the last few weeks.  I have to be propped up to breathe well, I sleep with a pillow between my legs, one under my feet (it helps keep the cramps at bay), and a king sized pillow under my belly (for support) and close to my chest.  I wake up about every 2 hours and have to go to the bathroom and I have to get some water while I'm awake or else I get awakened with HORRIBLE calf cramps that cause my left calf to stay sore for days.

What I miss:  Sleeping on my back. I also miss alcohol.  There are few things I enjoy more in life than a cold beer on a hot summer night - I am so a St. Louis girl.  Being at the wedding last night with everyone drinking around me made me want a drink too, but holding off a few more weeks is all worth it.  Love this little man :)

Cravings: Burgers, Mexican and Sweets all sound good all the time.

Aversions: Mashed Potatoes (if they aren't super flavored), Chicken Wings and mint toothpaste.

Symptoms: My energy level has been going down, but that's to be expected.  Some nausea has returned from time to time and I find that if I don't get a ridiculous amount of cold water in my all the time I feel like hell.
Best Moment of the Week: The other day I came home from work and B/Hubs (I get tired of correcting myself when I call him B so they is now interchangeable) came up to me and started talking to my belly and telling the baby how much he loves him and how excited he is for B Jr to get here.  It was the sweetest thing that has happened in a while.  I love that man

What I'm Looking Forward To:  My second shower next weekend!

Baby's First Party

Last Friday, Hubs and I had a full day of work/school then jumped in the car around 5:15 and headed to St. Louis for a whirlwind weekend!  We got to my parents' house around 11:45 and it took just about all I have in me to have some polite conversation with the parents before I ran downstairs, washed my face, brushed my teeth, set an alarm (had to be at my first shower at 10 the next morning) and immediately passed out.  The alarm went off promptly at 7:30 the next morning and I begrudgingly dragged myself out of bed and into the shower.  We had to leave my parents' house at 9:30 to make it to the shower.  So, I grab some fruit to tide me over until we get to the shower and get ready.  Hubs forgot his hair gel at home so I had to use some hairspray on him.  He was unsure about that, but it worked just fine.  My bestie, Erin, threw me a shower at this great place in Lafayette Square in St. Louis called Sqwires.  I HIGHLY recommend it for breakfast/brunch if you're ever in St. Louis (I'm sure lunch and dinner are also good, but we didn't sample those fares).  The quiche was TO. DIE. FOR.

Gift table - little Bryan is so loved already :)

The food was so good!!
One of the tables

Dad, Aunt Angela, Mom and Katie

Hubs with his hairsprayed hair.  The husbands/boyfriends/fiances were invited to the shower too.
We got a lot of photo books (and apparently 4in heels + 100 degree heat + 90% humidity = Suzanne's swollen legs.  Dislike).

I love this play mat.  It may or may not have been on Pregnant in Heels and that may or may not be why I registered for it.

Erin's (on the left) dad makes homemade gifts for everyone - usually something involving leather and wood.  He made B Jr. a leather bag and put lots of blocks into it.  This was the only gift that almost made me cry.  He also wrote quotes on the bottom of the bag.  It was incredibly sweet.  And WTF Hubs' legs look really long.

Erin and her husband, Dave, got B Jr. a baby Patagonia fleece jacket for this winter.  It is so precious!
Erin, me and Katie.

Elaina has a 5 month old.  I to look like her 5 months after this little guy gets here.

After the shower, Hubs ran home with my parents to do some homework and I headed out to run some errands.  Hubs and I were going to Elaina's house for dinner so I had to pick up some cupcakes for dessert.  Then I had to run to Massage Envy to get gift cards for my mom's birthday from me, Hubs and Dad.  Then I realized that we left my mom's bday card in Tulsa so I ran to the grocery store next to Massage Envy to grab a card and some Gerber Daisies for Mom.  While I was there I got some stamps too, then ran to Jack in the Box to grab some tacos for Hubs and me for a late lunch.  I got home around 2:30 and had to leave again around 3:15 to go meet Erin and Dave and hangout for a while before we headed out to Elaina's for dinner and they had to run to a wedding reception.

I wish that I had taken pictures of all of the wonderful food Elaina made.  She made a delicious lasagna w/ fresh sauce, a wonderful salad and some great bread.  Then we had cupcakes for dessert, I got to watch part of the Cardinals game and play with Elaina's son and then we headed to our high school for the roast of the couple who put on the musicals at my high school.  I was really involved in musical theatre in high school.  The shows have been put on for the last 20 years by a couple and in the last 5 or 6 years their kids have started working too (they are in their 30s).  Susan was such an impact in my life and Jac was my vocal teacher for years.  I didn't get any good pics from the event, but I did get a pic of me and my name tags.  Yes, I said "tags", as in plural. We had name tags for the event so I wrote ones for me and Hubs.  Then I saw Hubs writing on and I said "Hey, I already have one for you."  Then he slapped me on the belly (not hard) I then had a name tag on my belly that said "B Jr." on it.  Well everyone thought it said "BJ" b/c Hubs has horrible handwriting.  Frustrating!  My son will NOT be called BJ.  End. Of. Story.

Me, my puffy face and two name tags.  I was accused of not being proud of my son when I took his tag off.
The roast ended around 11:30 and Hubs and I headed back to my parents' house (30 minutes away) and, once again, immediately crashed.  We woke up the next morning around 8 and hit the road around 10.  It was a long weekend but so much fun.  About 20 minutes after we got to Tulsa, my brother showed up with all of his stuff and his dog ready to start his internship the next day (Monday) and we settled into the house.  I'll have to do a new pregnancy update on Thursday.  I am 28 weeks today and go to the doctor tomorrow so we'll get a check up on my stats.  I hope everyone had a great weekend :)

25 Weeks

Sorry for the awful picture/quality.  I was tried this morning and didn't care too much.
How Far Along: 25 weeks (26 tomorrow.  I see a pattern forming)

Size of baby: Baby is about 13.5 inches and 1.5 pounds. He's getting longer, but not putting on weight quite yet, but apparently that's normal :) They say the size of a loaf of bread of an eggplant.  There seems to be quite a difference there so we'll see lol.
Total Weight Gain: I'll say probably around 15 lbs.  I jumped on the scale a couple evenings ago and was up about 14 so we'll say 15.

Maternity Clothes: They're really pretty great.  I can't say that I hate them.  I pretty much have to wear maternity shirts these days (except for relaxed t-shirts and some workout tops) because my torso is so long and I need things to cover the waistband my pants.  I am in all maternity pants except for workout shorts and yoga pants

Gender: Little baby boy, Bryan :)

Movement: He moves a lot and I love it.  He's actually moving right now.

Sleep: Sleep has become weird lately.  I still sleep just fine, but I've started having really weird dreams and the potty breaks have really geared up.  I am seriously convinced that I have a smaller than normal bladder because it can refill in less than an hour, when I'm asleep, when I've had no liquids whatsoever.  I wake up, on average, every two hours because I have to go to the bathroom.  I will wake up and try to will myself to go to sleep and just wait it out, but I can't.
As far as dreams go, here's a skeleton outline of one that I had this weekend.  It was WWII and Hubs and I were living in Africa, in some sort of treehouse mansion thing.  He was running from the Germans.  We fall in love.  The Germans come for him.  He tells me to run off.  I do.  I wake up.  WTF?!!?

What I miss:  Sleeping through the night, but I guess I should get used to that lol
Cravings:  Nothing really.  Mexican and burgers pretty much always sound good, but I don't know if I'd call them cravings.

Aversions: Mashed Potatoes (if they aren't super flavored), Chicken Wings and mint toothpaste.

Symptoms: Just lots of movement, some round ligament pain and growing boobs.  I had to buy new bras, again, this weekend.  I am afraid to go ahead and invest in some nursing bras because I'm afraid they're going to grow again.

Best Moment of the Week: It was kind of a rough week life-wise, but I had a nice quiet weekend so that was nice.  Oh, but today I realized that I only have 99 days left in the pregnancy.  So THAT is pretty exciting!

What I'm Looking Forward To:  Working on the nursery this weekend.  It is stressing me out and needs organized, but it will get there soon.

24 Weeks

How Far Along: 24 Weeks (25 weeks on tomorrow) - I am seriously failing at keeping up with these.  SIGH

Size of baby: Baby is about 12 inches and 1.5 pounds. He's a growing little guy :)
Total Weight Gain: At my 24 week appointment I was up about 17 pounds total.  However, I had eaten a really salty dinner the night before and got really bloated and knew I was retaining water that day.  My Dr scale and our scale at home are the same and I'm down 3-4 pounds from where I was that day so I'll say up about 13-15 lbs

Maternity Clothes: I still love maternity pants and am quickly starting to need all maternity shirts because I have such a long torso most regular shirts are too short for me these days.

Gender: Little baby boy, Bryan :)

Movement: We have a little soccer player or MMA fighter in there.  About once a day I think he is trying to escape and I love the feeling.  He just wiggles and moves and it is so wonderful.  I woke up Saturday morning and he was moving around so much I couldn't go back to sleep because I was enjoying it.

Sleep: Sleep is good.  I'm amazed at the speed at which my bladder can refill, but other than that I sleep great.

What I miss:  Nothing really.  However, I am having to do the 3-hour glucose test today and if I fail that one (fingers crossed I pass) then I will have to give up my sweets.  Oh well.  Anything for the little man.
Cravings: Still the gotta have it in the moment cravings. Berries with whipped cream is delicious right now :)

Aversions: Mashed Potatoes (if they aren't super flavored) and Chicken Wings still.  I know the wings for sure.  I still hate the smell.

Symptoms: Just lots of movement and some round ligament pain.
Best Moment of the Week: Saturday morning where he kept me awake with his kicking and moving, but I loved it :)

What I'm Looking Forward To:  Probably sorting out what I want to do with his nursery and my first shower on June 4 (I know it's early, but it's back home and my bestie is going to be home so we are doing it then).

Please excuse the mess you may be able to see and any weird looks on my face.  I still haven't mastered this whole self portrait thing.  I would be an awful emo kid on myspace.

21 Weeks

I really need to stop taking pictures in the bathroom at work...
I look like I've grown since the above pic, but I really just turned a bit more to the side and apparently slouched a bit - seriously bad lighting

How Far Along: 21 Weeks (22 weeks on tomorrow)

Size of baby: Baby is about 10.5 inches and 12.7 ounces.  However, he was already weighing in at 12 ounces at 20 weeks so he's probably a bit bigger than the 12.7 ounces now (they didn't tell me how long he was).
Total Weight Gain: At my 20 week I was up about 8 total and think I've stayed the same since then, maybe one pound more.
Maternity Clothes: If pants/shorts don't have an elastic waistband/full panel, this girl doesn't wear them.  I still fit into most of my pre-pregnancy shirts.  I got a bunch of maternity shirts in the mail the other day and my friend, Sharon, gave me a bunch of shirts the other day.  The maternity shirts are still big on me, but I assume I'll be getting bigger soon.  I feel like I don't look 21 weeks along.

Gender: Little baby boy, Bryan :)

Movement: I feel it pretty regularly now.  Sometimes I won't feel things for the majority of the day, then all of a sudden he'll go on a kicking spree.  I love it :)

Sleep:When I'm asleep it's good.  I typically wake up 2 or so hours after I go to sleep and then 3-4 hours after that because my little bladder can't handle the strain.  Guess this is just my body's way of preparing me for what's to come.

What I miss:  Nothing really this week.  I guess if I miss anything it is the ability to workout like I used to.  I do as much as I can.  I've been really busy at night lately so I haven't been working out as much as I should, but I don't have many busy evenings this week so that will be remedied.

Cravings: I haven't really wanted anything in particular this week.  Earlier today I wanted some ice cream, but that has passed.  I still must have the breakfast burritos from the place across the street from my office at least a couple times a week.  Also, I randomly wanted pancakes yesterday for about 10 minutes, but then that passed.  Oh and I decided that I want a cookie cake about 5 minutes ago lol.
Aversions: Mashed Potatoes and Chicken Wings still.  I know the wings for sure.  I still hate the smell.  I haven't had mashed potatoes in a while, and don't really feel like trying it out you know.

Symptoms: Sensitive stomach, occasional round ligament pains and movement (if that is a symptom).  Also, I get run down easily and have to have a lot of water or else I get wobbly.

Best Moment of the Week: Feeling regular movement and my aunt and cousins moving back to T-Town.  Also, we got little man's crib.  Our friends are moving to Houston (sad face) and they offered us their son's crib for $100.  It is almost exactly what I wanted, but for the $250 savings it is EXACTLY what I want hahaha.

here
What I’m looking forward to: Hubs finishes finals next week then we get to go register.

It's A . . .

Well, what kind of baby do you think would wear these?

Yep, we're having a little boy!  Little baby Bryan.

Today was so nice (minus the craziness that was at work for a while.  Hubs and I took a trip to the doctor's office this afternoon where we got to see our little one and we found out that our little one is a little man.  He was napping and didn't want to "show off the goods" very well.  So, with a little prodding, he moved his little legs and there IT was.  Hubs was so happy.  The doctor said that everything looks good and that he was measuring int he 60%, just above average.  We are so happy that he is there and healthy and seemingly happy.  So, there we have it.  A little man.  I love that little man!

19 Weeks

19 weeks.  Things are looking a lot the same.

How Far Along: 19 Weeks (20 weeks on Tuesday!!)

Size of baby: Baby is about 6 inches and 8.5 ounces.  Growing kiddo.
Total Weight Gain: I'll find out on Wednesday, but I'm going to go ahead and say I've gained about 5ish pounds since my last appointment and two before that so about 7 total.  Hubs says I don't look any different in my belly, but I think I'm gaining weight in my face a little bit.  I have a REALLY long torso so, instead of things just having to be pushed out, things are being pushed up further into my torso.
Maternity Clothes: I still love me some maternity pants.  I'm good it shirts still, but I just need things that are long enough to cover my waistband and my thickening waistline.  I ordered a bunch of maternity shirts the other day though because I was starting to look really sloppy at the office and needed to get some things to wear for the rest of the pregnancy.

Gender: We find out on Wednesday and I CANNOT wait!  Half the wives tales say boy, the other half say girl.  I don't really care what it is so long as it is healthy.

Movement: I am about 90% sure I regularly feel the baby.  It always puts a smile of my face.

Sleep: All good.  It has gotten hot here though and I wake up in the night really hot which sucks. I've also awakened about 3 or 4 times in the night to go to the bathroom which is REALLY annoying.

What I miss:  Going a couple hours WITHOUT feeling like I have to eat something RIGHTTHISINSTANT.  It really puts a damper on the day and is fairly inconvenient.  LOL.

Cravings: I've been on a sodium kick lately.  I really want salty foods.  I never want salty foods.  I LOVE sweets.  I think I'm getting over it though b/c today all I wanted was a hot fudge brownie sundae so I got one.
Aversions: Mashed Potatoes and Chicken Wings still.  Also, I have a lot of issues with food smells from the refrigerator.  It is what it is. Also, meatloaf.  Hubs loves meatloaf.  It makes me gaggy these days.

Symptoms: Sensitive stomach, occasional round ligament pains and movement (if that is a symptom)

Best Moment of the Week: Sitting in the drivethru at the bagel place (my new favorite) and feeling little movements.  It just put a big goofy smile on my face.
What I’m looking forward to: WEDNESDAY WEDNESDAY WEDNESDAY!!!!  We finally get to start using gender specific pronouns, and possibly names.  I am so excited :)

18 Weeks

Please excuse the toilet in the background and the sink in the foreground.

How Far Along: 18 Weeks (I guess I missed 17 weeks - seriously nothing different happened between 16 and 17 weeks minus 1-2 pounds)

Size of baby: It says the baby is the size of an sweet potato, but last week it was the size of an onion. The baby is supposed to be measuring at 5.6 inches and 6.7 ounces.  This kid doubled its weight in the last two weeks, which probably explains why I have been STARVING lately.
Total Weight Gain: I think I've gained 4ish pounds since my last appointment, but I didn't gain any between my 13 and 16 weeks appointments and then I had only gained 2 so we'll say I'm up about 6.  We'll find out a week from Wednesday!
Maternity Clothes: I am all about maternity pants.  Why did no one tell me about the greatness of elastic waistbands that aren't all scrunched.  I seriously love them  I'm in all of my regular shirts still.  I have a few maternity shirts, but I am nowhere near big enough for them yet.

Gender: We find out on April 13 :) That is a week (+ a couple days) people!  Not that I'm excited or anything.  I just want to be able to call my baby by a name.  Like I've said before, we know our boy name (after Hubs), but we apparently did NOT decide on a girl name.  So now here we are discussing names again.  I just want to call my baby by a name.  I feel like Hubs isn't willing to commit to a girl name until we know it is a girl.  I have no inclination as to what it might be.

Movement: I am pretty sure I've been feeling movement for a little under a week, but I just can't be sure because it isn't constant and I don't really know what it is that I am supposed to be feeling.

Sleep: Totally not an issue.  I love me some sleep.

What I miss:  Last week I missed beer.  I thought about it A LOT!  I'm better this week

Cravings: Lately I've been eating a lot of peanut butter-honey-banana sandwiches.  They sure hit the spot.  Also, I tend to eat two breakfasts these days and I am LOVING the breakfast burritos from across from my office.  SO GOOD!  I've also wanted biscuits and gravy lately, but not a GOTTAHAVEITRIGHTNOW feeling.
Aversions: Mashed Potatoes and Chicken Wings still.  Also, I have a lot of issues with food smells from the refrigerator.  It is what it is.  (no change there)

Symptoms: Just some round ligament pain here and there, nothing else really.  I still get gaggy easily, but other than that it's all good.

Best Moment of the Week: Being pretty sure that I felt my baby moving around in me.  I get a little smile on my face whenever I feel the little one move :)
What I’m looking forward to: Finding out our baby's sex next week.  It's hard to believe that I'm almost halfway through my pregnancy, but then again it doesn't seem to go fast enough.  I am also looking forward to the moment when my bump outgrows my booty.  Frankly, it appears as though the booty is not going to stop growing (or is just sticking out more than usual).

16 weeks

Good Morning everyone! I hope you have all had a wonderful week. I've been pretty busy all week.  My mom was in town (as I believe I stated) and Hubs came back last night.  We painted the baby's room and I had a doctor's appointment.  Warning to all non-pregnant women who don't want to get pregnant: There is officially something in the air because I found out that my cousin is due a month after me.  Anyway, I am 16 weeks and I guess I will get to my weekly update.  I can't remember what day I did my last one, but here I go.

How Far Along: 16 Weeks (I'll be 17 weeks on Tuesday)

Size of baby: It says the baby is the size of an avocado, but last week it was the size of a naval orange.  I don't know about you, but the naval oranges I've been eating are a lot bigger than avocados.  That being said, the baby is supposed to be measuring at 4.6 inches and 3.5 ounces.  The crazy thing about that is that I think I was only about 18 inches or something like that when I was born and that doesn't seem much bigger that 4 inches.
Total Weight Gain: Apparently I don't know how to read a scale/remember how much I weighed at 13 weeks because I was at the doctor on Wednesday and she told me that I hadn't gained any weight since my last appointment.  I FEEL like I've gained about 80 pounds and I FEEL heavier, but apparently it's all in my head.
Maternity Clothes: I'm wearing a mix.  I have one pair of work pants that can still button until the end of the day and one or 2 that are still comfortable with the Bella Band.  All of my jeans are way too uncomfortable to wear with the Bella Band and the rubber band trick.  Most of my shirts still fit.  Some are a little tighter than before, but they still work.  That being said, I ventured into the Gap on Wednesday and picked up 3 pairs of maternity jeans and 2 pairs of black work pants.  HOLY GOD BLESS MATERNITY PANTS!  Seriously, why did no one tell me how awesome those things are?  I don't ever want to go back to regular pants lol.

Gender: We find out on April 13 :)  I will have to come up with some fun way to tell yall when I find out, but I don't think I'll be showing the ultrasound.  I'm not sure why, but I just can't do it.  I don't mind seeing other people's, but I'm not sure I want to put mine on there.  Weird, I know.

Movement: Still can't feel anything, but apparently it will be coming in the next few weeks.

Sleep:Sleep happens when I lay down.  It's been a little off this week because I've had some serious allergy issues this week and have to prop myself up in order to breathe.

What I miss:  Nothing really right now.  I miss cooking.  I just have no desire to do so and a lot of meat makes me sick when it's cooking :(

Cravings: Nothing in particular.  I still love chocolate milk :)
Aversions: Mashed Potatoes and Chicken Wings still.  Also, I have a lot of issues with food smells from the refrigerator.  It is what it is.

Symptoms: This has been a pretty good week.  My headaches seem to have subsided.  I haven't really had pregnancy symptoms this week, but if I have they have probably been masked by the allergy symptoms.

Best Moment of the Week: Going to the doctor and hearing my baby's precious heartbeat.  Hubs couldn't be there so I recorded the sound.  I just love it :)
What I’m looking forward to: Finding out our baby's sex next month.  Also, today Hubs and I are going to the Texas v. Oakland game this morning.  As you can see below, I am wearing my Longhorn Orange shirt :)  HOOK 'EM!
Please excuse the messy counter in my bathroom and the fat arm I have apparently developed.  Free weights, here I come.
